This view of the green-chain shows how sorted lumber was moved to other mill locations by wagons which were of two types: 4-wheeled horse drawn ones and 2-wheel push carts which could be moved by a man once the lumber was balanced on them properly. Sawhorses supported the latter wagons during loading and unloading.
