The crew of the "Minto" on her maiden voyage, December 1898. Captain Gore is flanked by his officers. I borrowed the original of this photograph from Mrs Ray Kosiancic (nee Ida Ulmi). The inscribed photo was presented to her in 1949 as a special gift by the captain of the "Minto" (Otto Estabrooks), on the occasion of her being May Queen for Renata. The last run of the veteran steamer was on April 23, 1954, with Captain Robert Manning in command. Although the crew is undeniably that of the "Minto", they are for some reason posing on her sister ship, the faster "Rossland".
