In this view we are looking along the curved track which ran to the steamer landing (behind us), towards Lion's Head. Genelle Brothers sawmill is busy cutting timbers for trestles and bridges, as well as lumber for buildings. The station-house is visible on the right, doomed to be replaced by a new one in Robson in a year's time. The prominent sacks contain potatoes or possibly ore concentrates. Note the water barrels on the roof-tops. Probably fall of 1890 or the following summer. |
